Programs Manager – Boys & Girls Club

The Program Manager leads and directs the requirements and expectations of Club Programming for children and youth from both a location specific and outcome perspective ensuring that the club programming, that the Club provides and promotes, is of high quality. They are to lead the development of new efficiencies and overall strategies to ensure Club Programs operate in the most efficient way.

The Program Manager is responsible for the development and operation of Club Programs that support children, youth and their families. This position works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and ensures that programming and services are relevant to the needs of the community and are effectively integrated with other Club programs.

The Program Manager provides direction on how to best engage volunteers in the delivery of programming at the Club to support and enhance the outcomes for children and youth. The position provides guidance in the direction of leadership and supervision of program staff.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Programs:    The design, implementation, and evaluation of age-appropriate activities for program participants
  • Youth Leaders – get youth involved as volunteers in programs within the Club, provide orientation, scheduling, support, evaluation and recognition.
  • Outreach – Spread the Word on our Mission and Mandate. You will have a lead role in creating messaging, visuals and social media to extend our reach to achieve our goals.
  • Standards: Ensures the program standards, guidelines, and policies of Boys & Girls Club are maintained  (see National Program Standards – Boys & Girls Clubs Canada)
  • Data & Reports: collect data on programs and prepare reports.
